NACS Media Solutions has embarked on a journey to create a Regional POD solution for our members.  NMS is currently piloting a POD initiative that will go live in 2013.  NMS envisions a “distribute [the digital file] and print” model that will enable stores to have geographically convenient printing capabilities that can minimize inventory risks and offer students the option for printed content delivered quickly.

The type of content that can be fulfilled varies, from publisher acquired textbooks, to custom content and course packs, to open source/OER and international titles,  to community-based self-publishing content, select trade content, or anything of your choosing.  POD participants will also have access to a larger file storage solution in the form of the NMS file Repository.
